Adult only weekly drumming and percussion sessions in Frome Thursday’s 1.30 – 3pm. (and every week term time) Christchurch Hall, Park Road, Frome.
Drum It Up (a Frome run not for profile organisation) have been running this Drumming session for a year now and there are places available to new people To join. It’s a lovely group of mixed ability who are very friendly. Each week we do fun rhythm games, learn the notes and technique needed on a djembe, learn some African poly rhythms (2 different rhythms that link together) and then we will create an ‘in the moment sound scape’ using drum circle methods and a bit ‘jamming’ with percussion and other instruments. This is a session for all adults and is fully inclusive, wheather your an experienced or beginner drummer there is something for everyone.
Drumming is a great way to bring people together through the connection, and energy that creating rhythm in a group brings. Drumming has health benefits too and can strengthen neuro transmitters in your brain, has a relaxing effect on your body and boosts your immune system
