The fourth of five events in this year’s Deverills Performing Arts series, jazz pianist Jason Rebello will be giving a solo concert in Kingston Deverill church on Saturday 16 September at 7.30pm.
Classically trained but inspired by Herbie Hancock, Jason has worked with such artists as Sting, Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins, Pee Wee Ellis, Joss Stone, Madeleine Peyroux and Manu Katché.
“In terms of sheer ability and potential, Jason is probably the finest young jazz musician this country has produced. His playing has great poise and maturity, which is unusual in somebody so young” Stuart Nicholson, author Jazz: The Modern Resurgence
One of the most inventive pianists in the UK, Jason’s new solo album Held is receiving massive critical acclaim. Jason will be playing tracks from Held and some of his previous work.
